hey,
I have this problem with a stock carby.
When the motor is dead cold, it wants to idle at about 200RPM, when the motor is fully warm it idles at about 800- 900RPM.
I have had the carby rejeted to suit a cam i put in and no change.
has any1 ever had this same problem ??? I know putting another carby will problably fix it.
Cheers. |

ur idle solenoid could be buggered, its at the back/top, screws in with 2 screws and has 2 wires coming off it. replace that first and see if that fixes r problem before exchanging the whole carby. |

Idle solenoid aye, but would it work OK once it warmed up??
if so this could b it !!!
As for the auto choke, It goes on and off as it pleases.
I took the gem do a carby pro and he said the carby is in good nic, he didn't c the problem because the motor was fully warm. and i forgot to mention it.
I know he backed the auto choke off, but it made no difference the next morning.
also I have 210 pounds compresstion what does that = in a racio

thats a different compression ur talking there
also - i'm thinking you might have an air leak in ur carby somewhere, causing it to idle rough
what size cam and jets? |
