hey man
i wanna wire up my sub enclosure from an amp so that if i need the boot space, i can take the sub enclosure out. a guy said once spade or ring terminals would work, but if i just disconnected the box *it has external connectors that you can unscrew to disconnect the leads* and still wanna play the stereo without the sub, will this fry my amp?
also, i'm running a 4X50 head, 4" with tweeters in the front doors with crossovers, a 1000watt amp and 2 10" subs in the boot. what would i run of what? the subs of the amp of course, but the components of the head, or amp?
thanks heaps

if u wanna do this put a switch on ya remote wire from ya head unit to the amp. when ever u take the amp out switch the remote wire of and your amp wont turn on. this will alow u to turn your subs on and off also depending if u want doof doof or not _________________

you will have no worries running the splits off your head unit, naturally they will sound better off an amy but your headunit will be fine. Just put a switch in your remote wire, they only cost $2!
I had my amp mounted to my sub box so that when I needed to race or needed boot room I just unplugged the power wires and RCAs from my amp and pulled out the whole box/amp/sub assembly. Then I pulled the fuse out of the amp power wire and turned off the switch in my remote wire (I actually did that before unwiring the amp, but you get the drift) |

i was talking about amp on the subs and a nother amp on the splits. i run 3 amps and have a switch for them all for no subs or only subs (SPL comps) or 1 sub and split. etc....
anyways if u have say a 4x100 amp and u have 2 splits and 2 subs (1 speaker for each channel). yes u can unplug the subs and leave the 2 "sub channels" on the amp blank. this will not fry your amp. i was told buy compleat car sound u can do this and i have been runing only 2 channels on my 4 channel rockford amp for about 2 years now and not a problem with it. _________________
