never seen one, but i don't understand y anyone would want to.
extra weight fucks your handling up
added weight requires more power to move the your new land barge.
It would cost far less, and be easier to make the same power and torque from a turbo efi g-series or if you have to have an engine swap, there isn't exactly a shortage of turbo 4's which make big power stock. but thats just my opinion...

and a good one too, they werent made for the car, and you could get a turbo 4 cylinder dropped in for alot less with the same power and shit, and as gene said, if you want a v6 buy a commonwhore

Ummm heavier eh??? Alloy block, theyre actually lighter than a steel block in the g series, and if you think about it they will be a lot more reliable, as for similar or more power they can be pretty well standard, whereas when you start boosting the g series you shorten the life of the engine, plus they're a newer engine too. They'll probably be better on fuel than a turbo 4, need i go on. Research what you say before making a comment...

do the job PROPERLY and keep it well MAINTAINED it will last just as long as an NA G series

U dont wanna know how much fuckin time i spent talking with performance mechanics ie. Dennis mobbs at gemispares, Steve at Just gemis, guys at Turbotune and RPM Performance

I think putting a standard and newer engine will last longer than a hotted up older engine?

"whereas when you start boosting the g series you shorten the life of the engine"

thats the point i was trying to clear up, there was no comparison to a stock V6 there.

i have researched and spent a lot of time talking with people in the know, and as long as its perfectly set up and run in, and properly driven ie. extra power is not abused everytime its driven, there is no reason why a boosted g series wont last as long as a stocker.

Thats cool, i know a well maintained and built engine will last a long time, but remember when you start boosting fairly high you do begin to shorten engine life, moderate boost levels don't really come into that saying... Don't get confused with my point there, but the time/dollars required to do that would then be comparable to the V6 right??? Custom stuff etc, expensive to replace/repair, turbos are more expensive for servicing too. Whereas a stock v6 will be a lot easier to get hold of parts etc. Don't get me wrong i'm a huge fan of fours/turbos, etc. But i also hate people giving uneducated responses to some topics.
