so u wanna buy a pre fabricated box, whack a sub in it and bobs your sister right, but your wondering what to cover the box with, and what to screw it to.
1 get imaginative. cover it in whatever you want, leather, fluffy shit, shag pile carpet. marine carpet is popular. most pre fab boxes come painted a colour or with carpet, so look around. they cost anywhere between $90 and $200 and upwards for decent ones. depends hw many subs u wanna run. most car sound places recommend at least 1 12" but 2 is better, caus the fuel tank is inbetween the cabin and the boot, which deadens the sound a far stack.
2 - not a fuckin clue, i'm havin the same trouble actually, where the hell do i bolt my box to?
hope this helped a bit

oh ok, fuck i'm dumb, it's late and i've got car audio on the brain, i fucked up mine today and i'm contemplating fixing it now, it's pissing me of.
i'm not sure hey, gene would be the guy to ask about that, he did it i think. only drama is getting the spare out when you need it, unless you keep it in the boot, and not boxed in.
good luck buddy, sorryi couldn'thelp, but same goes, marine carpet is popular caus its fuckin tough, but the choice is yours. interior carpet for houses, that diamond pattern metal would look sick on the walls, and like a carpet floor. |

"don't know how high up the sides and back i go"
as high as u want
"any one know how much it would cost?"
depends what matirail u use, if u use ply or mdf, etc....
"and what kind of material would i use?"
what ever u want
"wood or wat ever u use to the floor of the boot so the bottom dosen't sag? "
use 15mm+ MDF. it wont sag _________________

im doin mine at the moment ive done one left hand side a back but im putting a material cover over the lights and sparetyre, but i ran into a problem on how to get the spare out without pullin the boot apart, so i put hinges on the back board so it can fold out and you can flop the spare tyre over and pull it out, and about the floor of the boot being uneven i made up wooden braces that screw into the boot supports and then i levelled it all up well i carnt be rooted tryin to explain it anymore so hope it helps so long |
