OK
The gem i recently bought from sydney which looks like my V8 one needs a new power plant we are sick off the stock 1600 auto.
Has to stay 4cyl or rotor but any susgestions on a easy engine conversion eg (rotor, G series turbo, SR or FJ turb)
whats easy and what a hard one and guys keep in mind its my wifes car so nothing spastic.. BUT want it to be pretty quick..
cheers |

if its an everyday car dont go down the rotor path, mymrs has got an rx4 cuope and theres always somthing to fix and fuk does it drink!!!!about 50lt per 100k's
and ive got a 2lt twin webber setup, also a drinker and nightmare to tune.
go for somthing simple 1800 with a 1600 bigvalve head mild head work and SINGLE weber or re-jetted stocky
ps. read my reply to your coment on the v6 issue.

g200 dohc will bolt right in, easy conversion if you are after a zippy n/a car.
I am selling a complete kit in adelaide, including computer. In good nick.
Looking for around $1700.
I'm not just recommending the g-dohc because Im flogging one, they are a great little donk. Nice for the street anyway, nice feeling of torque down low. |

Why not try to squeeze a WRX motor in there,
as dumb as that may sound, go domething totally different,
get it change to just RWD, try AWD maybe,
Id like to see a big 6/71 Blower hangin out the front personally

i am pretty sure a WRX engine sits too low to the ground at standard ride height, something like 1 inch clearance or something? it would be pretty nice though |

my reply may be bias but it is another option nonethless. I recomend a rodeo 4ze1 2.6 . n/a they're about 90kw and have mega torque, but i plan on turboing one which will eat up the$$$ when i get it done ( i plan on spending $10 000 on driveline/engine alone). YOu would easily see your wife doing consistant 11second passes if she doesnt break the 10's first go;) |
