Short Answer: Yes, But.

Long Answer: First you need to decide how far you wish to go in your quest for good night vision. I have fitted a set of H4 130/100 bulbs into gertrudes headlights and the difference was chalk and cheese. When view from the side of the road they aren't any more blinding to oncoming traffic but from the driver's seat your visibility is increased dramatically. To do the job properly you need to upgrade all the wiring to handle the extra current (10 amps for stocko high beam compared to 22 amps for mine) all I did was setup two relays (one for low beam, one for high), then wired them with some fairly decent wire (30 amp from memory), using the normal headlight wires as a switching source, drawing power via two inline fuses connected straight to the battery, earthed by the bolts that connect the relays to the engine bay and then wired up to the headlights through new H4 style connectors (get the connectors from any auto electrical supply place).

It may sound more difficult than just dumping the bulbs in but it was only 2 hours work and it is better than having a wire melt and set fire to your car.

My only concern with putting such powerful bulbs is the narrow outside possibility that it could cause the reflectors to fade but that is a fairly narrow chance and besides, replacements wouldn't exactly be hard to find or expensive.

So it is actually possible to switch bulbs in the headlight in a TG?
Seeing as my electrical knowledge is only limited could you please advise which wires need to be upgraded to 30A

Try using 100/55w ($10 ea) if you don't want to rewire your headlights or get a set of Narva Plus 30 globes which are 60/55w ($12 ea) but give you 30% brighter low beam and 20% brighter high beam.
Using these will save you time and money. Also it dosen't look like your driving around with your high beam on which will attrack the cops.
