now there is some serious performance goin on there,
Straight cut gearboxes, i have never know for a Gemini Motor with one of those boxes behind it, but know may import motors that do,
i guess the Jericho boxes are good for these type of applications and can survive bout 100 full power passes, for drag cars that is,
my guess is to speak to a gearbox specialist in your area, or see PAC, and Rigoli Bros, a shift kitted TH350 box would do the job also, and may be cheaper,
i know i did not help here, but hopefully steered in the right direction,
if you get one keep us posted,

There's a deep dark purple Gem that does the rounds at Broady car-park, it's very very tidy and has both straight cuts and a gilmer belt drive. Sounds like a V8 supercar when it whines past in first at about 3000rpm. I never got the chance to question him about his set-up properly, he was one of those that didn't like spilling the beans on his mods.
Just about any manual gearbox specialist will help you out with quotes and time taken to perform the job.
Since you brought it up Carlos, have you come across or known of any Gem wit the TH350 ? I had a chat to an auto specialist on shift kits for my traumatic, but he said that there isn't a shift kit available for the TH180. Only aftermarket modulator valves to change the shift points and characteristics.
When i questioned him about fitting a TH350, he had a concerned and puzzled look on his face then started to tell me it wasn't worth the mods for the bellhousing and he didn't know what had to be done to the trans tunnel to make it fit.
Any input on this one anyone ?? |
