Before you flame me, I have searched and have come up with some info, but I would like some feedback for my question.
My project TG has a running 1600, but it seems to piss out with smoke out of the engine bay and well Id rather go something non standard and non turboed (at the moment). I was thinging of a g180, g200, 4ZD1 etc, but I would prefer something that will go in without having to go through Regency. I am going to upgrade the front discs and put in the rear disc conversion (thanks Gene) so stopping wont be a problem. I was considering going for an injected 1600 since that doesnt have to go through Regency, but Im not sure if it is worth the trouble, considering chucking twin webbers on would give more grunt, but on the other hand, injection would be a lot more reliable, and less defectable. Any feedback is grateful on this topic since the more ideas I have, the easier it will be for me to make a decision. So, if anyone has spoken to Regency and found out what the biggest N/A motor allowed in a Gemini in S.A is without regency approval, that would be a great help.
I know the saying 'If ya want more grunt, go fuck a pig' is applicable here, but I aint gonna go and fuck a pig.
Cheers,
Pavlos. |
