Ok, went to AIR yesterday. Cought up with some family hadn't seen in ages - one was running his 3 month old CV8 Monaro. Yum. It's supercharged and ran a best of 12.6 @ 114mph. Was windy so the track was slippery wid dust.

Anyway, more to the point, There was 1 gemi running out there, a red TD sedan. Don't know if the guy comes on here, and frankly i don't care, but mate if u r, you're full of shit.

It was a pretty ratty car, stock bodied, ratty stock trim, idled like a baby. I was noticing that all day he was cutting between 16.5-17.5 second quarters. Not too bad for a gem really.

When me and my gf were leaving he was near his car so i thought i'd do the right thing and say gday, and have a lil chat. See what he was running.

It was a fully worked 2litre apparently. Running 165 stockies on the back. I asked him what his best time for the day was. Get this, 11.7 was his reply. He must have seen my shock coz he then went to his glove box and pulled out a time slip for 11.7. I wonder who the poor bloke was who lost his time slip. How the hell could a 2200 pound car, on 165's hook up and run an 11.7? When my uncle running potenza race tyres couldn't hook up and run better than 12.6 (the terminal speed says he should be running about 12.4 - his 60 footers were pretty shit)

So anyway, hope u got away with fooling yourself, but you werent fooling anyone else.
