G'day guys and gals in just new in i have a holden gemini TG that im restoring i have done a little engine work and installed a alarm and sterio and im just wondering does anyone no a alternater that will bolt straight in that puts out more amps then the original because when im driving along and i crank my sterio the lights start to flicker with the subs and my battery is getting drained all the time any recomendaions. Im running a sanyo head unit 800 watt amp two 4way 6*9 300 watt speakers and twin 12 inch subs both 400 watts thanks and regards

The easiest alternator upgrade is to fit a Mitsubishi Alt off a mazda rx7 series 4, they bolt straight on and have from 55 to 80amps. You only have to change 2 wires at the alternator.
This is the answer you need from the workshop section.

Try the wreckers or a Jap importers. They should have a fair few laying around.

I have one for sale if you want it. $50.
They are worth anywhere between $80-$130, it's internally regulated as opposed to the Gemini externally regulated unit. In S.E QLD.
