Highlander a weber is definatly they way to go. They have more potential for tuning than a nikki and are designed for better performance. Webers aren't related to your engine timing either. |

The 32/36 dgv/dgav is the most popular for gems. Also you could try a 34adm which comes off falcons. Also perhaps a 40/40 dfav. All will perform quite well on a gemi. After that you progress onto a twin weber setup which is quite hard to tune and will require a good cam + headwork to reach its proper potential. |

The twin carbs on the dattos are 1-3/4" CD Hitachi carbs, They are a Japanese made copycat Skinner Union design but the only major difference is that Hitachis have a power-valve. CD carbs are complete genious and are the cheapest carburettor to use in a performance (or even economy) application on 4 or 6cyl motors. They have a variable venturi that ajusts to the best possible level at certain vacuum levels. They are very easy to tune (even double and triples!)the only problem is that they dont allow complete maximum airflow, but that can be fixed by upping size or a grind ere or there.
VERY, VERY underestimated and underrated!!!
