Considering selling my LSD.
Rebuilt with new drive gears by 'Diff Lapping' at Kedron (Brisbane).
The diff is complete (drum to drum), uses an early holden centre, standard gemini axles in a standard gemini housing and crown gear. Bolts straight up and uses standard torque tube. Inspections welcome.
I'd be looking at offers around $450. |

yes. on Kitchener Road.
http://www.difflap.com.au
As for lapping - it really depends on the wear from diff to diff. Prices are from $80 - $400
The 'hat' - I guess you mean the diff centre (that holds the LSD gears and drive gears and pinion) - factory Holden hat i guess.? steel? |

gene: pretty sure it was a VB-VK centre, but with different drive gears to suit the gemmy axle's splines. I'll speak to the diff shop on thursday and find out. |

yeah same ratio as a stocko gem, so 3.9:1 gears.
the diff is gonna be stronger than a gemini diff. so whatever power you can put through a stocko diff and not blow it up, the LSD should take it pretty easy.
the centre is designed to hold the power from a VK commo - a car that weighs a lot more than a gemini and would produce a lot more torque. |
