does anyone knoe the rough power output of a stock 1600 turbo with a pizza turbo setup, also what would it be with an 1800 head and a copper headgasket? thanks Sam |

at a guess i wouldnt expect more then 100kw at the wheels

how much boost?
what carbie?
as a rough gess maybe 60 kw if not running any mods other than a bolt on turbo |

I have turbo setup on my 1600 with a modified weber, cam etc and i get 110 kw

This is what Ben Wight told me when i asked him.
"If I had to guess, i would say on a stock 1600 with the mitsu turbo on piazza manifold, with a good free flowing 2.25" exhaust, and rodeo efi manifold, no intercooler, on say 12psi, you could expect around 150-180hp. Intercooled and more boost, maybe 2.5" exhaust, output may be
around 200 -230hp."
Just keep in mind that its all estimated and that it all depends on your own engine and its modifications, what turbo you use etc. My suggestion, build your turbo, whack it on a dyno, then tell us all what power you get I will certainly be posting the print out's of my dyno reports once i turbo my gem. |
