Whats the best way to seal a water temp sensor on a manifold. The thread is tapered but that isnt enough. What type of sealant etc should I use??

put it on the thread before you put it in.
Thread tape might do the trick also |

Go to a shop that sells hydraulic or pneumatic fittings, ask for a roll of thread tape. You wrap it around the threads to seal them.

Yep thats what I did. Just whipped out some tape from our compressor box of stuff and whacked it on. I think i was just being lazy, which is why my car still isnt running.
Cheers
