hey i had the same prob. just blank the holes off and as for the demister get a 12v hairdyer from disposals ($15) mount it under the dash plumbed into the heater vents and ya laughin.
By the way my engineer told me to do this so it is legit. All the cops worry about is if hot air blows on ya windscreen. |

yeah ditch the hoses. im not running one, but i have however looked into it. legaly you have to have a heater to demist the windscreen. if you dont have a heater, you have to use ATLEAST 2 hair dryer motors located in the air ducts in the dash pointed at the windscreen. simply run the motors of a switch.
i was told this of an engineer and he said its the only legal way |

well i see you can do it two ways....
1. like others have said...hairdriers... or 2. get a tx heater. they run out the two holes either side at the top of the trans tunnel. you never mentioned what model gem it is that you are doing this on. i am only familar with tx - td model gems... so im not sure if the heaters are the same on the later models but i presume they are... |
