Ive got a twin cam motor and I need to know if the diesel gearbox's bolt straight up and is the standerd tail shaft ok to use? or is it easier to modify the standered gear box? |

usually a twin cam motor has the starter motor on the other side of the gearbox to a standard gemini motor, other than that they do bolt up the same. diesel and petrol single ccam boxes are the same and will not suit a twin cam,
but as a last resort you could get a single cam gearbox and cut the starter mount out of the bell housing and swap it over then get it welded back in.

The 4-speed with reverse left and down, out of the early TX with the different floor pan should fit. There was a post a while back saying these are the same as an Isusu Bellett gearbox, if this is right it will definetely fit. |

yep the starter is wrong for the twin cam, apparently the bellet 4 speeds have the starter on the pass side but why use a old weak gearbox? seems unless u get the lot a twin cam conversion is pretty fiddly |

The TX coupe with the funny floorpan has a passenger side starter which means it is the same as the twin cam. |

What do you mean old weak gearbox the Bellett gearbox is actually stronger than the Gemini one. The only reason you would change the Gemini gearbox over is it has fifth gear. |

The Bellett has got a nicer and quicker shift as well, almost as good as a remote shift twin cam 5-speed. |

The gearbox matches the Gemini fine spline tailshaft, the mount is out by about 15mm (pretty sure about this), other than that it all lines up fine. |
