would it be possible to supercharge a carby g180? what would be needed and what is a good supercharger that can be picked up fom the wreckers that would suit this project?
Obviously it would be a blow through setup. I dont see why it wouldnt work?
To me it would be easier to do this than a carby turbo setup? no complicated exaust manifolds etc. |

I think S/C are meant to be easy, just gotta work out how to mount it and everything. Will you need an airbox also, like you would need for turbo? |

yeah, the airbox is a must as the air pressure is useless otherwise. Thats why i want the blow through setup as its got me fucked how a suck through works.
I mean even suck through turbo setups sound dodgy. Cold fuel going through a HOT turbo?? |

It's actually harder to do than a blow thru tubo setup.
It doesnt have to be a blow thru setup, you can do a suck through setup.
Caribou aircraft have a 14cyl engine that run a suckthrough supercharged setup and produce around 1000hp |

Blowers dont like pushing against closed throttles, which is why you'll find most either have a carby or the throttle body mounted infront of them. making them suck through. The only ones that you can make blow through are clutch operated ones. |

The choice should be completely up to you, all of the options have their pros and cons, eg: with suck-throughs their is a lot of fuel consumption on C.T.D. because of intense vacuum which will suck shitloads of fuel through your inlet ports or injectors.
So do a fuckload of research, nothings as simple as bolt on, especially where any kind of forced induction or cooling induction (methanol for example).
I Hope this helps mate.

That'd be why you have a blow off valve. |
