Yes, I have already done a search.
Where exactly is the number? I know its on the drivers side between cyclinder 1 & 2, but I cant find shit. The only number Ive found is a number on the passenger side under the extractors.
Any help appreciated.

Number or name of the engine? The name is behind the timing case just under the 1st inlet runner. It is cast in the block. You might need a mirror.

thats the numer not the name,

engine number is staped drivers side under the inlet on the top of the block next to the 1st cylinder, u probably cant see it cos it full of crud

name is cast on teh side of the block pasanges side behind the extractors

How exactly do I get to the engine number then without having to rip the inlet manifold off?

If I cant find the number before 12pm tomorrow Im selling the fucker cause I know it wont pass Regency.

police use this same trick to c if theres a number there before they xray.... accitone or however the :::: its spelt "nailpolish remover " wiped over the section where the number should b will show it up real quik...

if your engine has ever been decked the number wont be there (there ment to re stamp it but dont always) i ran into this on mine had to have it all check and restamped

Woopz... i might restamp the G161 numbers on the new G180 block coz that get decked and i cant see no numbers lol

Well I looked and degreased it and shit and still couldnt find it. I got a friend to look it up for me and it was previously registered with no engine number.

Had another look 10 mins ago and I found it. Some of the numbers were almost corroded away, thats why I missed it at first but I managed to get it. Still got me fucked how it was registered without the number before.
