Hi all,
I just bought a new 'Holden' Combo so I need to make room.
It''s an 82 wagon in white with no rust or bodgie stuff.
Rego until Feb 2004 will need some work (new shocks and
minor stuff mostly) Engine is great and the car is very reliable just very rattly and worn.
Great project car but too good to wreck.
has new brakes, alternator, battery and other bits.
Includes Sony CD player and a few spare parts.
Owned by a true Gemini lover who just needs one less car
at the moment.
$800 driveaway no more to pay!
Call Martin on (02) 8824 3933 (Sydney) or 0417 484 366. |

Do you think it would survive a drive to Brisbane ?
Cheers

I honestly think it would.
I used it as a courier delivery vehicle for 12 hours a day
with good reliability. The tyres are near new retreads and the car will do 120 all day provided you take into account the clapped out shocks and the roughness of the ride.
The engine and mechanicals are good, I maintained it properly myself for the last 2 years so it would not let me down and cost me money in time off work.
Only seen one other still doing regular deliveries in town,
identical to mine. Go the gemmies, still doing it after 22 years. I doubt my new Combo will have such an innings.
The gemmy is showing 280000 on the clock, it all still works
inside and it has factory air conditioning which will need gas. Was originally a country car from Dubbo and Singleton etc. Has had a few engines that I can see and has a recent new Gem engine at the moment. Bog standard with extractors
and a new head which I installed a few months ago.
It should survive a long drive but you would have to keep it on the speed limit to avoid the steering shakes, it comes with all new ball joints and tie rods but you will have to fit them.

It would appear to be sold, and I think it''s going to a good home too. |
