Hey Gene,
Do you know if I can replace diesel diff complete to front of torque tube with a diff from a petrol gem. And do the change the other way from petrol to diesel??

Yes you can.
The only things you'll need to do to mount the diesel diff into a petrol body shell are weld the two mount brackets to attach the front torquetube crossmember to the body of the car. Look at the diesel diff assembly and you'll see what I mean. All the other mounts are identical to the petrol diff. They mount near where the diff link rod attaches to the body.
Other thing you'll need is the driven gear for the speedo cable so it reads correctly. _________________ I try to tackle one day at a time, but often several days attack me at once.
