king springs are the most common
reasnonably cheep
you need a new pan hard rod if you lower the back alot
but yeah pedders springs are more expensive and dont go as low
most other brands are the same price as kings if not dearer |

There was a post on here a few weeks back at the quality of springs. Apparently king springs are really shit. |

yeah but they werent sure
i dont belive they use old ones and re sdjust them as kings are alot thicker and the effort to do it for all different models would be far to much work for them it woudl be easier if they just bhp or similar to supply steel and they coil it
you can get kings at cv drive shafts near gemispares |

Do you want to (1) make the car handle better or (2) make the car sit lower?
If its 1 I would get shocks, if its 2 I would get springs. Springs make the car sit flatter because of a lower centre of gravity and because the springs are harder, but the shocks increased turn-in, make the car less floaty and more predictable. This is all personal experience, but others may have had different experience with different spring/shock combination (mine was pedders sports ryder lowered (pretty sure) and monroe gt gas shocks). |
