Is there any way of opeining up the dash cluster on a TF SLX? The reason I ask is coz my odometer hasent worked for the past year or so and Im gonna be getting a new engine in the nex fourtnight and ill probly need it to be working for the waranty. Or does any one have a TF SLX taco dash F.S?
She spedo works so it just must be the odometer jammed or sometinig? |

take the cluster out and theres clips holding on the clear plastic.
is that what u mean?? or u meen into the back of it??
i tryed getting into the back of it, spent about a hour at it, then threw it at the wall _________________

must be a common gem prob, the odometer, as mine doesn't work either. but i do know what was wrong with it.
after removing the whole speedo from the dash (very simple) just use a power drill on the back of the speedo where the cord usually runs into it (this is to immitate the cars movement and you should see exactly which part of the odometer isn't working.
in my case it was simply that one of the gears that was supposed to be attached to one of the poles, was no longer attached... although i never did work out how to reattach it so mine is still out of order as yet. |
