why is it "dodgy" to get a tap and tap a thead onto a peice of metal? Does EXACTLY the same job as what you are saying, and i don't have a welder.
Actually...thinking about it, you know the part where the stick gets really fat, that part stays at a constant thickness for a long time, so you could cut out say a couple inches and then weld it back together.

Dats all u have 2 do.
is cut the thread off ,keep the thread , then chop how much U want off the stick.
drill into the stick and weld the thread inside the stick allow it to over hang,
This wont stop u from slamming or giving the stick a hard time while changing gears. |
