If for any reason you need to remove the tailshaft from your gemini, or alternatively you are removing the gearbox from the car, the simplest way to keep the gearbox oil where it belongs is to canibalise the front yoke of a spare tailshaft. Then, in one quick motion remove the tailshaft and insert the yoke, with practice it is possible to do this without losing a single drop of oil. The yoke should be installed without the internal spring and can be taped in place to ensure it doesn't fall out while the engine & gearbox assembly is being lifted. |

Just thought I should mention, to get the tailshaft apart, use a set of circlip pliers to remove the circlips which hold the universal joints together. |
