Now I am going to go out on a really unusual tangent here... before you actually starting physically doing ANYTHING you should decide, write down and scrutinise what you want to achieve, how much you aim to spend doing it and what the best method to achieve your goals will be. Then you need to write out a rough budget, research individual prices, weigh up your options again, compare back to your original goals etc etc. |

And when you have done all that you will find that bolting in a 4ZC1 will be about a third of the price a mucking around with a G series motor ... Michael |

Not really. Bolting in a 4ZC1 might only be cheaper if two things are true. You can do ALL of the work yourself, and you are going to be happy with close to the standard output of the engine.
If you want more power than the 4ZC1, why waste money on it instead of spending on an engine that you already own? The actual engine isn't any better in fundamental design than a G series engine, sure they have EFI, but you can just as easily bolt everything onto a G series engine.
you are after serious power, you will find the computer lacks tunability, the turbo is too small, and the injectors are too small. So why not spend money in these areas on your G series motor?
