Hey all,
I've had a minor problem lately which might be nothing but just asking if anyone else has had it and what it could be, first of all its in pretty old condition and its all stock. So the prob is that when the car stops at times, the master warning light flashes faintly with the brakes and oil light warning coming up. The oil level is fine on the dip stick and when the brakes are applied more the pressure drops even more to a stage where it stalls ... could it be that the piston rings r fucked ??? |

Your problem sounds electrical. When you say that if you apply the brakes more, the pressure drops and the engine stalls. What is this pressure you are talking about, if you mean the oil warning light shines brighter, and the revs drop when you pump the brake pedal, then you have an incorrect idle mixture adjustment. If you dont know how to tune your carb, just book it into a mechanic and drive away with a better running car. |

Nah,
it ain't nothing with the carby, now i've driven couple a hundred k's to Syd and it car goes good. But when in nuetral or the clutch is in the master warning comes up with the oil lamp n the brake thingo. Guess as long as it goes without problems i'll ignore it. |
