I've got a question. I have a TF gemi with the commodore type headlights, that's the only way I can explain them. They don't recess into the grille. What model did this type front end come off? I thought it was the TF but I got told the TG. Any help is appreciated. |

HI THERE MAL
Well im tryin to get my head around the Q so i can give you and A.......
Ok let me get this stright
You have a gemini and you thought it was a TF BUT
you been told it is a TD.....WELL
Here are some things you can do your self to see what model it realy is.
1) All parts are interchangerable on geminis....Well the gards doors tail lights grill so and so on.
So the only way to tell if you have a origanl TF or TG is to look at the compliance plate.(you must excuse the spelling im crap at it LOL.)
The compliance plates are found under the bonet nere the fire wall.
On one of the plate it should have all the vin numbers and color numbers, trim, model so on and so on.
If you find that on on it it should have the model number.THE plate should look something like this
_____________________________________
MODEL. TD8TF15 A8C
BODY no. 499985B
TRIM. 1926 63E
PAINT. 568 30517
ENG L13 TRANS M75 RRAXLE GU8
_____________________________________
LOOK at the model no,you are looking for a TF or a TG at the start of the no. This plate is off a TD cause it has a TD8TF15 hens the TD at the front of the no.
Hope this helps you out see ya

Just so you know the TF, and TG's came out with the halogen lights (commodore type). However, the earlier TF's had the sealed beam type lights. |

From what I have learnt...
TF SL had the TE front.
TF SL/X had the TF SL/X front, which was carried on in the TG.
TG (all models) had the TG front (duh
This is just all regurgitation from what the other guys said.
Explains why when my dad picked up a TF indicator from a wrecker it didn't fit, because mine is an SL/X as well.
The TF SL/X is a pretty rare beastie when you are out and about. They are hard to tell apart from the TG, and even they are hard to come across.
