Hey Jimbo,
I only use corrosion inhibitor usually, as general coolant is designed to lower the freezing point and raise the boiling point of your radiator water, as well as be a rust inhibitor.
Do you ever have trouble with your radiator fluid freezing or boiling? If not, the cheapest solution is probably a bottle of nulon rust inhibitor, about $10 and treats over a gemmy radiator full. |

Howdy,
I have always used Tectaloy 90+ coolant, the total fill stuff, mostly because I didn't want to corrode the ported early model head I had on my engine... Now I do it by habit, saves worrying about crud/gunk/corrosion/boiling/freezing... |

i only use, "tectaloy xtra cool gold", its a solution that you have to mix yourself.... you just buy a bottle and a few lires of distilled water, the measurements are on the bottle, it's good stuff, lasts a while too... because its a 1 litre bottle and i think it's 200mls makes 4 litres or something like that. |
