hey fellaz
i have a worked 1.8L (G180) with a 30/70 cam with heeps of other work 2 it (if u wanna have a look at all the specs my cars the first one on the 3rd page)
anyway my question it how many deg btdc should i time the engine to??? (timing light)
any replys would be greatly appreciated

8 degrees for standard, i would try about 10- 15 degree's depending on your cam, if it pings under full load in 3rd /4th up a hill under full throttle, then reduce the timing about 2 degrees, untill it does not ping |

Slight correction, for safetys sake, advance it from standard (6 deg) untill you get a ping or two, then back it back to the last highest setting. Get two mates, a stopwatch and a (safe) stretch of road and test results. |
