yay subs or nay subs

lastweek i was conversing with fellow car owners and i told themthat i they should get subs fortheir cars. i love the sound subs make. they do too but apparently they love their cars more and subs, or moreso the sounds they emit, are particularly good at wrecking hinges, ie those that allow windows to open/close, doors and the boot. bothcited many examples of hor subs had detroyed their mates cars. i ther any truth in their stories or can i put my sub back in my presently shmick wagon.

I would think that to do damage to your car you would need a damn powerful system, I would doubt that 1 or 2 subs would have that kind of power.

i have a mate who drove a suzuki swift with two 15's in the boot and it was so powerful it shattered the rear windscreen but other thatn that no other damage was done to the car itself.
dunno if this would apply to a gem tho considering they are older

the guy in reference also had two fifteens but i only have a 12 with 222 watts. it does rattle the body though, less and less as i finish sound deadening, but.

Subs send violent vibrations through your car so all spot welds will come apart over time especially in the boot lid. they have on mine. Also any slightly loose bolts will come undone fairly quickly. ie number plate falling off. but to major damage, unless you have a high powered system then not much else will happen
