i wanna convert an auto TG to a 5 speed. anyone know how much it would cost to get it done professionally? |

A lot. Prabably at least a grand. Its a bit of mucking around but just do it yourself, as long as you have all the parts its too not hard. |

I'll be doing this conversion within a couple of months myself. I've got 2 TDs (Bushbasher sedan and wagon for the road) and from what I can see it is a fairly straight foward conversion. The mount for the 3rd pedal is there, as is the hole in the firewall for the clutch cable. Just make sure you get the whole transmission and tailshaft from the manual and you should be fine. Tell me if you have any probs so I can work around them. Greg |
