im looking at buying a gemini as my first car
i was wondering what should i look out for when looking for a car (eg where will there be rust, what to check in the engine etc)
also what is the typical price range?(i live in NZ)
and once ive bought the car what reasonably cheap modifications could i do myself?
any help would be appreciated

Well, there are quite a few things to look out for. Depending on the life the gemini has lived, you can expect to find rust in the boot/spare wheel well, the drivers and passenger floor, the lower doors, sills and some under the bonnett. I'm not too sure on the motor, just take it for a test drive to see if it runs OK, also check for oil leaks (most gemmy's will leak a bit). Both of mine were under $500, and it shows. How much are you willing to spend? Most are under $3000 (for one in bloody good nick). Hope that helps. Greg
