...that chrome breather thing... you've blocked up the bottom of it and plugged in an 'overflow' hose in to stop your rocker cover being caked in oil??? good idea... i need to do that... |

Can't say I like the look of it too much, but hey, It ain't my car is it? So if you like it, who cares what other people think - no offence to the 'other people'. Being different is what everything great. |

It was custom made from 3 ply and 5 ply, and covered with black vinyl by a local company.
As for the engine bay being "disgusting" I live in a small country town, and this car is driven daily. Also, the 4 banger is going soon anyway, so then will be the time to tidy the engine bay. Pretty stupid to make it spotless right before an engine changeover, don't you think? Spose you have yours parked in a garage with a sheet over it..... |

Hey buddy, don't nock the clean cars mate. My gem does an average of 600km's per week and still took out Top 30 Elite alongside the best showcars in the country. ie Gary Myers Mustang and Al Bundy Lucas's Hq Munro. So just coz u drive it doesn't mean it can't be fully detailed. Not all showcars are wrapped in cotton wool.
Good luck with your new motor and maybe we'll see some new shots of your detailed engine bay soon.
Cheers

Mooch,
I can't decide whether that was a chance for you to preen your feather's about how good your car is, or whether you think I am some 18 year old out to start an argument.
Your "tiger" is a 31 year old man, with 3 children, and a passion for nice looking cars. I have owned a 350 HQ, a bridgeport turbo 21a RX3, 2 XD Falcons, an award winning EH Holden, a VK Commodore and a VB Commodore. Now I have turned my attention to Gemini's. As for me "nocking" clean cars, I can't see anywhere, where I said that. I am glad that your car has had the care and attention it needed, to stand toe to toe with the big guys, and take out trophies as well. Good feeling, isn't it? Makes you realise that all your blood, sweat and tears haven't been in vain.
This isn't an argument over who's car is better, faster or worth more. Just the same as I couldn't care less, what someone says about my car, to my face or over the net. It's my car, and if I am happy with it, then that's all that matters. Being talked down to like a kid really gets on my nerves, but, I guess you know that now.
Anyway, Thanks for all the comments, both yours and others. I have gleaned some really helpful information from the workshop, and from posts other caring car lovers have made.
Maybe I'll see you all around the traps one day, and we can all stand around a natter about cars...

Matter of fact my friend I aint much younger than you and when Im not driving the car yes its under cover. It was just a statement not a argument Im sorry I affended you in that way. You are right I dont drive mine as much as you but I do drive it as much as the weather lets me...
But a wash would have looked better than dust..
