Do you have any of that pollution prevention shit on? if not, do you have a pipe coming out of the top of the cap towards the rear of the engine? if you don't there's ya answer. Get a nice piece of black piping and shove it down the side/back of the head.

errrr sorry m8, didn't see that bit...
need new eyes...
yeah wouldn't cause air filter seepage.
Severe doubts, but coming throught the inlet manifold?? (like I said severe doubts - unless there is something DRASTICALLY wrong.... engine around the wrong way perhaps???? hehe)
Honestly, dunno, but mine was pissin oil outta the top hole b4, so it was worth a try.

A couple of possibilitys... check the condition of your oil filler cap, many leak and only once there is a bit of crankcase pressure, this one had me dumbfounded for a while.
Secondly, if the engine has a bit of blowby there can be enough pressure in the crankcase to pump oil out of the engine and into the inlet manifold by a few paths, the first is the tappet cover vent, the second is the evaporative emissions pipe (running from sump to the splitter thingy and into the manifold).
The easiest way to find the source is the clean everything... I mean remove the air cleaner take the lid off and wipe every surface spotless, then wipe the tappet cover totally clean and clean any other oil... Then drive for a while, stop and see where the oil is coming from.
How are you rings? (note: I do not mean jewellery) |

i have the same prob, i replaced the oil cap and theres also oil leaking from the rocker cover bolts, to fix the rocker cover bolts u will need to get replacement rubber washers for the bolts from rarespares or maybe holden www.rarespares.net.au |

i sorta have a feeling its the oil filler cap, but if it is how does the oil get into the air filter and the back of the rocker cover
i clean it but it doesnt really help me work out where it is coming from |
