It's still coming - although I do admit I got a little advantageous by proposing that it'd be ready by now.
Thanks to those who offered magazines - I've already scored a stack and that is where a lot of the information has come from - not originally, but when I decided to include a History section with the descriptions of each model (which was the original intention of the document), I went out and got magazines left right and centre.
I don't get a lot of time on the PC to myself - it's not mine and there are some bones of contention regarding me using it. Hell, I deleted all my porn before somebody found it, so it's amazing the level of trouble I've been in without it.
Cheers for your patience.

I meant "adventurous".
Not "advantageous".
But you know, life goes on. The World keeps turning. |

Hey Joe,
I don't specifically need a manual on the Gemini PF50, but I'd like to know some facts about it.
Like what is the official name?
Isuzu Gemini? Isuzu PF50? etc etc
Do you know where it was manufactured? It was sold in Indonesia, right? So is it a Japanese car? I assume it would be. I noticed it's got the Isuzu & Holden bumpers, but it's got Holden mirrors, not Isuzu ones - those weird things down the end of the bonnet.
So yeah, any information would be useful. I touched on it in the Compendium, but didn't know too much, so it only got a sentence dedicated to it.
Cheers,
Dave |

Hey Dave,
glad to see ur nearly there! Well i don't know if this is of any use but i have the owners manual for the wagon, in the vinyl case, with the "how to care for your new car" manual as well. it's in mint condition, i mean like new. It has purchase receipts for the car, service history from Smith's Holden of Port Adelaide. It's original rego papers. Rego was $30 a year! U name it. This other stuff won;t be much use but if you want either of the manuals let me know mate!
Cheers
Adam
PS nearly got my gem done. then we cruiz....... |

Ahhh... now I'm diggin up the old stuff! Dave, I know you're probably nearly done with your Gemini story, but how's this... for the past god knows how long, I have been collecting sales brochures and other bits and pieces about the Holden Gemini. I have original sales brochures for: CDT, Opel Kadett, Piazza, Gemini's from TX thru to TG (including SL, SL/X, SL/E, diesel, ZZ/Z, Sandpiper, panelvan & Gypsy panelvan, road test between Gemini, Laser, Corolla, Pulsar & Colt, pictures of PF coupe & sedan. Not bad, uh? _________________

Whoops!!!
I've been collecting some stuff too - both of eBay and downloading pics from websites.
I probably have enough decent pics of enough models to see me through the History Story, and then some. Here's a curly one for you though - do you have any pics of the Ecuadorian Geminis - the Aymesa Condor? I think it had a fibreglass or fabic body. Yep. Weird. And the other one I'm struggling to find is the Daewoo Maepsy or Saehan Bird, both Korean models.
If you have any pics of the Isuzu I-Mark, that would be good, oh, and when you say you have pics of the PF, what do you mean? I believe that PF50 was the Isuzu model code for the Gemini (I think PF20 was the Bellett), but I'd like to know if it was actually called that in any markets (most likely Asian markets).
Can you let me know? Cheers - and yes, it's not far off, but development of the final stages has ground to a halt until I get off my arse and get a copy of Word for my sister's PC. She seems quite content to not have it, bizarrely enough.
Cheers,
Dave |
