Hi all,

I have my TF and my old TX engine. I plan to put the TX engine into the TF soon as the TF engine is tired and rattling.

The big question is: do I convert the TF to an electric pump setup (as the TX was) or should I put my TF head (which has bigger valves) onto the TX block and keep the mechanical pump?

Bear in mind the TX head won't take much more shaving, and the TF head has all the pollution gear. I don't want to get on the wrong side of the law.

Thanx

Unless you've been fiddling with things, the TX should have larger valves - it did from factory at least.

If you're in one of the automotive Nazi states like NSW or VIC, I'd suggest to retain the TF head and pollution gear. If you're in a relaxed state like WA, SA or QLD, then I'd go the TX head - as far as I know, none of those states have big fines for removing pollution gear like air-pumps (although they do appreciate cat-converters staying where they are on the appropriate vehicles).

If you keep the TX head on the motor, use the electric fuel pump in the tank running 12v straight from the fuse box
