Taking off the badges and them big black things that run down the side of the car, leave alot of marks on the paint right? how can u avoid this?

It always helps it you are looking to do a complete respray aswell, then all you have to do is fill the holes and marks, sand it back and spray over the top of it all. Your could also try getting your paint colour matched by a pannel beater and just spray over the sections that need it.

There usually stuck on with glue, if you use a heat gun or probably even a hair dryer you can heat it up which will melt the glue and you should be able to slowly peel them off.

it also helps to tip some eucalyptus oil at the top of the badge to help the removal, after they are off there will probably be a slight colour difference under the place the badge was, this can be blended by using 1500-2000 wet and dry and some cutting compound. Just watch that you don't get to excited with the wet and dry.
