You could either fill the cracks, sand it back and spray a coat of vinyl spray over the top. Or take the whole dash to an interior trimmer and get a new coat of vinyl. The second option is more expensive, but you will get a much better result. |

Buying a uncracked original dash might be the way to go aswell? How much are these puppys worth? I have one in my gem and im told its a fairly lucky thing to have. |

I had 6 cracks in my TD dash when I bought it,2 really bad.
I rang around some wreckers and on the 9th one found a dash in a TD with no cracks at all. Could'nt believe my luck. I had to remove it myself and it only cost me $30.00. It was brown and the top was sunfaded that black they go but with few coats of black vinyl spray it looked great. The black looks better any way. I was quoted $280.00 to have it rewraped in vinyl and that included freight costs from W.A to Q.L.D. So depending on how much you want to spend the wreckers might be a place to start.
Good luck. |
