I've got a DGV Weber (off 2litre OHC Escort/Cortina) and a small Crow Cam - can't remember the grind, but it's mild enough to be used with standard induction and compression ratios. Plus I've got the extractors and a 2" exhaust, obviously.
This is all on my 1600cc Gemini engine - I used to have a G180 in my last car - if only I'd done those mods to the 1800!!!
Put it this way, my 1600 with the listed mods would slay my 1800 which only had extractors and an exhaust.
Piss easy, cheap modifications that give pretty good power for the price, providing you're building on a sound base (ie, the engine isn't puckeroo anyway). |

cam n traxtors are good but if u can get youre hands on a air compressor and a die cutter set, (and some guts) get the head off and grind the ports to as big as u think. but dont go to far cause u might hit the water jackets! a good cam to get on a standard motor is an ivan tighe cam grind no# 308. |

if ya looking to spend some cash than do this but i will garantie 225 horse power naturaly asperated get the crank 1mm off set ground bore it no firther than 40th a full balance a blue print take the head to a good head porter and tell them that the head has to flow above 185 cfm than get a 3 angel site job for the valves up size the valves to tm magna valves get the pistons fly cut so the valves dont intafier this motor this motor will nead a set of 45mm tiwin down or side draft webbers side being the preferd but good luck finding a gemini manifold extractors and a waggit 604 ground cam that is how to build a stinker but just remember that allot of an engins horse power is supplyed by the head the more head work you do the faster you will go |
