In the Jan edition (??? may even be in this months or the Dec edition) of Fast Fours mag there is/was an add for door locks around the $100 mark that claimed to be better for Gemmy's than solex locks - if anyone has a copy of these mags would you mind digging the add out and putting the details of 'em on here for me.

I am using GHL locks, cost around $110 from american auto parts in and around sydney. They are similar to the Solex brand, same size and everything, but they dont have the cheap black plastic solex advertisement on them, they have a full chrome bezel, look a lot better.

Good lock, they deadlock so only the key can open them, boot lock was a pain to fit though.

Hi Ben, do you know if the GHL locks you've got will work with central locking? I want to fit some in my TF

Thanx

yeah they will work, I am using them currently with a central locking solenoid, they also have the option of deadlocking as well as normal locking.

There is one model though they dont fit, I think it is a TG, it says in the add.

I got mine COD, I'm near Melbourne. only about $10 extra. The ads are in a lot of magazines, you have probably seen them heaps, mostly in street machine, but now in hot fours, etc. The name is American Auto Parts.

Be careful if you use remote locking. Solenoids don't like it much if the doors are deadlocked. If not remote, should be no probs.
