At the moment I am running a 350 Holley on my worked 1800. It has a problem with too much fuel being pumped thru and keeps flooding itself when I get under it. Probably needs smaller jets. Anyway, I have the option of a 38mm Webber as well and I'm not sure which will be the better choice in the long run. Obviously the Holley is larger so will produce more power, but is a bit too big for a Gemini engine.
I just wanted to know what everyones thoughts were on the matter. |

"A bit too big" I think is a good understatement. Bit like squashing snails with a sledge hammer; will do the job, but there's better tools. 350 Holleys are good for up to 4.2lt V8's so they can be real touchy being jetted for an engine half that size. Depends on what your plans for the motor are in the future. Either keep it and build a "wild" motor, or put it in the shed for a rainy day and get a webber (adaptor part no's are in an earlier post for the 32/36). You might even find an increase in power and fuel consumption.
Hope this helps,
Yonnee.
P.S. Sorry about the snail gag if you're into animals. |

The 350 holley jetted right will work great, but the 38mm webbers (off a capri) are rare as so i would snap it up anyway |

Its okay, we wouldn't squish Slugs... Kittens maybe, but slugs are just too nice. |
