Yes they are old but one comment really makes me wanna shoot someone...
http://www.autospeed.com/A_1300/page1.html
"While all of these mods no doubt help, there's no avoiding the fact that any mildly modified Gemini is still mincemeat for 90 percent of today's cars. Take a look around - most contemporary Corollas, Hyundais and all of the larger cars are far and away quicker.
Many people really need to change the way they think about Geminis!"
BULLSHIT! i could kill an Excel in my almost stock 1600 TX!!
and the dohc TG i have now can kill most corollas pulsars etc too |

hah dumbasses
Lets see how much it costs to buy an excel, convert it RWD and turbo it, and it will be a fair bit more than to turbo a gemini |

i just read that article at autospeed, and they talk about the money needed to do up a gemini, yet theres another article on the new mercedes??? and on a pre owned 300zx, now thats roughing it!! fuck if u spend 10 000 on a gem itl be in doing 10s! well maybe not 10s but itl fukn fly!! compare that to buying a $13 990 excel, the gem is still cheaper, and a lot faster. |

And a lot more character too!!
Like the sticker says on the back window of my VH daily driver, "Classic, not Plastic"!
Anyone looked at the resale value of an Excel lately? A '94 model for under $4000. A few years old and not worth 'jack'! Gimme a Gemini any day....ANY Holden for that matter.
(my two cents)

These guys really need to get their stuff straight. In another article about a TD coupe the following is said
"It was the perfect cost-effective base for an absolute mega-grunter".
talk about contradictions... |
