I am thinking of replacing one of my doors which has seen better days, and I am after some advice. I assume that to remove/replace the doors you simply knock out the pins in the hinges with a suitable drift. is there an easy way to do this? do you need a special tool? any advice? |

Pull the plastic caps out of the top and bottom of each hinge. Aparently a slide hammer does the job of removing the pins pretty well, but seeing as i didn't have one and a new one costs about $300, i just found a piece of metal that was the same size as the pin and hammered it out.

there is a special tool that goes through the centre of the pin then you attach the handle and hit the shit out of it with a big hammer, about $45 for the tool, any good auto tool shop should be able to help,
