OK, I know this involves pullin things to bits, but how do I raise the carby float level???
and if I am getting up to 70 in 2nd gear and the car loses all power and then cuts back in eventually but hops, is this the fuel pump?? if so, would just cleaning etc work? and if so, if I pull it out will my fuel tank empty itself to a certain point?? |

You need to bend the float contact to the needle/seat pin so the float sit a bit higher in the bowl. How long since you changed your needle and seat anyway? Is your fuel filter blocked?
The last question, on a p/van / wagon No, a sedan / coupe Yes, till the fuel level dropped below the height of the fuel pump.
