once again another problem with my gem this one isnt to major but its still fricken annoying, i have this sticky spot on my accelerator its so bad im either doing 20 k's or 60 there's no inbetween cause the acceletator is to sticky how is it possible to fix this annoying spot? |

done all that its got nothing to do with the accelerator itself i dont know whats causing it |

OK,
check the carbi the shaft's could be sticking, CRC may help,
Check the cable is not frayed and catching, at either end
Check the the pivot point on the floor where the pedal mounts on the floor,
check the cable is not bent where it exits the fire wall,
hopefully one of the above may help,

What do you mean by sticky exactly? If you're having flat spots between 20-60 kph it could be alot of things but more than likely fuel delivery. If its Fuel injected you need to check fuel pressure and volume delivery, map sensor (if applicable) operation. Coolant sensor operation..... the list is almost endless. Has the fuel map in the computer been reprogrammed? Did the problem just start or has it always been like that? Im sure someone here can help you but you need to be specific. |
