hey all
does anyone know how hard it is to install a 5sp celica gearbox into a gem? any modifications needed? does the celica gearbox have different gear ratios to the gem 5spd?

| how much power r u runnin???? maybe a gemi 5 speed would do for what u want. it would be cheaper and it will fit without any drama. the sillycar/superbra box is probably ovakill for a mild motor....... |

| i allready have a gemi 5spd but i want a different gearbox that can make u do more than 20km/h in first gear without revving the tits of me motor. how much would it cost to get my 5spd rebuilt and with different gear ratios? |

| try $400 minimum per gear ratio to have made plus installation. I think most gearboxes will have very similar ratios.My race Gemini uses a nissan 240k Gearbox with straight cut gears. 1st gear is really 2nd ratios hard to take off but I can do 95km/h in first. |
