The system i plan on getting is as follows:
The system is all Alpine.

· 4 Volt Pre-Out (x3 sets)
(front spkrs)v DDC-R17A DDDrive 6-1/2" Component Speakers
· PEAK POWER 200W
· 50W RMS Power
· Frequency Response: 40Hz-32kHz
· Sensitivity: 90dB/W/m
(rear spkrs)SPR-692B Reference Series 6x9" Coaxial Speakers
· PEAK POWER 200W
· 50W Nominal Power
· Frequency Response: 30Hz-35kHz
· Sensitivity:9dB/W/m
(subs)2x10inch SWR-1040 (Type-R)
· 10" (25cm) SUBWOOFER (4ohm)
· PEAK POWER: 1000W xx
· RMS:Power 300W
thats the system, now i need to know what amppage i would be needing. |

i wouldnt run 6x9s with subs. put a nice set of coax or 3ways.
but as u have it i would be buying 2 amps,
1- 4x100watt amp to run ya 4 componet speckers
2- 2x200watt to run ya 10" subs
these amps would be enuff in power as for nice sound, but go bigger if u can afford it for huge bass!!!! heheh
gene
i got two 400 watt amps one for each of my subs then a 4x100wat amp for my compentent gear _________________

I agree with Gene. 6 x 9's are only for fill, if you have sub/s, you don't need rear speakers. Sounds much better with a decent set of 6" splits up the front and just the subs. |
