hey everyone. going to build my parcel tray (pretty much the way it's stated in the workshop but with a few mods). just wondering what a good way is to secure it? should i drill and screw it into the metal parcel tray? glue? it's gonna be on a slight angle so brackets might be the way to go with bolts? i dunno - any advice is welcomed.

i have a bolt that goes through to the boot and that way noone can steal it, but you dont really need one if youve made it good it will just sit pretty. |

I dont know how applicable it is to a sedan (if thats your shape) but on my coupe i cut 7ply 12mm ply to about the right shape to be pretty tight. I then bought some foam stripping and rubber stripping. I glued the foaming round the rim of the parcel and stappled the rubber portion around the gap that was created for the fuel funnel. It sits REALLY tight and no sound gets on either side, sounds great! |

I would affix it somehow if it were mine. If you plan to install 6x9's in the parcel shelf and amp them, having it just sit on top could cause some bitchin' vibrations.
