i found a little temp guage amongst some crap i was looking through. and i snapped the cable off trying to reef it out of the box. can these guages be rewired. i dont know the word for it, but its a bronzey lookin cable, with a hole in the middle of it. and a funny smell coming out of it.

not from my knowledge they work by the motor heating the fluid and it moving the needle at the gauge end.
get rid of it and get a good electrical unit,

the bronze bit is copper and can not be replaced also that funny smell i can't remember the name for it but DO NOT SMELL IT as it can kill you |
