are you absolutely postively sure he said flash converter not catalytic converter? Why don't you ask him what it is cos I would love to know too.
Just in case you didn't know, a stock gemi engine will run unleaded with no modifications. If you have really upped the compression, that could lead to detonation and *perhaps* by flash converter he means an additive to boost the octane and increase the flash point of the fuel???
shots in the dark here. Are you running a management computer or an auto box? |

so there is also an electronic device for analog digital conversion called a flash converter ( why I was thinking a computer) and some type of stall converter called a flash converter I think, which is why I was thinkigng auto. don't knows what either of those would have to do with running unleaded tho??? let us know! |

environmental question for those running unleaded in their gems-do you guys have catalytic converters?the only reason i ask is cos when you see articles on the matter they usually only talk about hardening valve seats etc. |

I would think he means a flash lube kit, its a brand name for valve guide lubricant that is dripped into the carb I think.
I have been running unleaded in all of my gem engines for many years with no probs. Tell him you dont want to go to the bother of this lubricant system.
LRP should have some sort of lubricant in it anyway, its just not lead.
Is the engine going to be run on LPG?

Forgetting what fuel you want to run because it doesn't really matter, is this flash converter you are talking about actually the flash lube system? |

yeah, it's the flash lube system, right as always ben thanx .....the guy said the motor needs to run premium unleaded with about a 98 octane rating, and that's y it needs the flash lube setup.....is this right ? |

ahah. Nope, you do not need to do mod like that to run unleaded in the gemi engine. It already has hardened valve seats. |
